  •  Grade 12 or equivalent
  •  Understanding of Engineering Policies, Procedures and Standards
  • Ability to plan and organize
  • Working knowledge of client disciplines – Metallurgy, Mining, Engineering
  • Basic level computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to schedule and manage maintenance activities
  • Be declared medically fit for the position and environment, as determined by a risk based medical examination at the relevant Sibanye Stillwater Occupational Health Centre.

Advantageous requirements:
  • Trade qualification
  • Experience in the Planned Maintenance Office
  • Trackless (TMM) Operation experience
  • Experienced in operating and utilising a Computerised Maintenance Management System (SAP)
  • Advanced level computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) for role including the SAP PM module
  • Additional Planned Maintenance/Asset Management Qualifications
Key responsibilities:

This role is responsible to assist the Planned Maintenance Officer in the coordination, facilitation and management of the maintenance management programme for Mines and Plants by providing planning, control systems and maintenance of policies and strategies for the management of equipment whilst optimising the interface with other Mine and Plant systems and functions.

  • Effective coordination of the Company’s planned maintenance program.
  • Administration
    • Capture work order feedback information accurately in SAP PM.
    • Create subsequent work orders and/or notifications for follow-up work from a routine work order inspection.
    • Determine by regular review that data is accurate.
    • Assist in administration of tracking equipment movement on shaft/plant for the purposes of dismantling/installing equipment on SAP PM that is moved between shafts/plants or between levels within a shaft or places on a plant done by the Planner.
    • Load all new and refurbished equipment warranties on SAP DMS via a MA Notification.
  • Filing
    • Scan and attach all 3rd party inspection reports to the original work order on SAP PM.
    • Load 3rd party inspection reports on SAP DMS linked to the Equipment on SAP PM via a MA Notification.
    • Load actions on subsequent work orders and/or notification for follow-up work.
    • Maintain a physical filing system for all work orders and maintenance of signification equipment.
    • File all completed work orders as per filing retention periods.
  • Reporting
    • Record daily call-out reports and ensure a linked call-out work order is recorded on SAP PM.
    • Run SAP PM and MM reports.
    • Record and maintain Asset Management KPI reports other than being reported centrally.
  • Asset Management Strategy
    • To support a long term maintenance management strategy for the mine/plant.
    • To assist in addressing all key elements of the Asset Management Strategy using KPI’s.
  • Analysis and Improvement
    • To support preventive actions to ensure cost effective maintenance programs.
    • Make formalised recommendation to the Planned Maintenance Officer.
  • Planning and Scheduling
    • Assist with capacity planning on a daily basis, which includes both preventative as well as corrective maintenance tasks.
    • Assist with ensuring planned shutdown activities follow pre-set targets in accordance with critical path analysis.
    • Ensures that work orders accurately match the plan and schedule.
  • Information Management
    • To ensure that all work is controlled through work orders and that all information loops are closed. 
  • Material Management
    • Actively participate in spares and material acquisition.
    • Follow up on overdue deliveries of spares.
