SENIOR COST CONTROLLER – REF: SCC- JW359/2022
REMUNERATION: R452 286.72 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM
Manage and administer the asset capitalization process and financial reporting on movable and immovable assets in compliance to Asset Management Policy, GRAP standards and prevailing legislation.
Manage Asset financials and reconciliations to general ledger on SAP. Monitor risks and poor performance or changes in the risk profiles of individual assets in the portfolio. Prepare asset data for upload to the AMIS together with the required support documentation to facilitate financial reporting on immovable assets. Manage timesheets and charge costs against the asset within the portfolio. Track assets taking longer to complete and establish details. Engage and update finance department for detail cost breakdown against created assets. Update the AUC list on a monthly basis to reconcile assets captured against the commission assets. Prepare financial reports as per National treasury guidelines. Prepare Mscoa reports. Any other related reports. Facilitate and trigger asset capitalization process against completed projects for capitalization or commissioned assets for partial capitalization. Prepare or extract all assets associated costs expended and related internal costs charged against the asset for Programme/ Project managers. Check completed asset capitalization forms submitted against SAP expenditure and internal costs prior Capitalising and submission to Finance. Check the unbundling of assets or componentization for correctness and reconcile costs against the Bill of Quantities (BoQ or orders).
Essential qualifications and experience:
National Diploma in Financial Management/ Accounting (NQF level 6)
3 years’ experience in finance management and reporting
Experience in SAP Project system administration and GRAP standards
Knowledge in MFMA/ PFMA
