IntroductionThe Senior Officer: Provincial Operations is responsible for the facilitation and coordination of Service’s SETA service offering at Provincial level. This involves information dissemination, facilitating workshops in attempt to educate stakeholders about service offered by the Service’s SETA. Furthermore, the incumbent must support the implementation of outreach programmes in the Province.

SpecificationFacilitate the implementation of outreach programmes in the Province
• Support the planning of outreach programmes
• Facilitate events logistics in the Province in liaison with the Head Office
• Coordinate and implement outreach programmes in consultation with the Head Office
• Oversee the dissemination of information to the Provincial stakeholders
• Supervise programmes and projects in the Province
• Serve as a link between the Province and the SSETA Head Office
• Assist with organisational risk management from a Provincial Office point of view
• Supervise the maintenance and updating of databases of Provincial stakeholders
• Supervise record keeping in the Office
• Supervise the compilation of reports on Provincial Office deliverables and processes
• Assist, monitor and support all projects in the Province

Oversee stakeholder relations in the Province
• Support stakeholders in meeting SSETA’s requirements in the Province
• Facilitate the education of stakeholders in the Province regarding SSETA’s policies on accreditation, grant funding, training, assessment, internal moderation, internship learnership etc
• Ensure that the above policies are on the website of SSETA
• Assist stakeholders on how to access internships, learnerships and discretionary grant funding for special projects and regular projects at SSETA
• Develop the Special Form template for allocating learners to willing companies who provide SSETA’s sponsored training
• Support to conducting of due diligence on the entities applying for Discretionary Grant allocations on behalf of the head office
• Co-ordinate and conduct Provincial outreach programmes, in liaison with the Head Office
• Access accredited providers in the Province to assist learners where these skills have been identified as critical or scarce
• Support rural providers that require assistance for the implementation of SSETA programmes in rural areas
• Co-ordinate and conduct monitoring of the implementation of learnerships and skills programmes, bursaries, internships and workplace agreements in the Province
• Facilitate partnerships with providers of learning programmes in the Province
• Assist Provincial stakeholders with the completion and submission of WSPs and ATRs
• Supervise the maintenance and updating of an SDF data base for the Province
• To execute customer care in the Provincial Office by assisting and resolving stakeholder queries
• Submit regular reports to the Head Office
• Represent SSETA in meetings, forums, etc at Provincial level as and when delegated or required
Requirements• Matric + 2 Year Diploma or Equivalent in business administration or public administration or public management
• At least 3 years’ experience in coordination/liaison position, of which 1 must have been in a supervisory role
