ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: COMPLIANCE & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT (REF. NR. IS-AD-AO1)
DEPARTMENT: ENGINEERING SERVICES

Co-ordinates and controls the Departments administrative functionality and attends to the
implementation of procedures, applications, systems and controls to facilitate and support the
recording, updating, circulation and maintenance of information of the Department of Engineering
Services with regard with regard to various administrative activities.
SELECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR THE POST
Higher Certificate in Office Administration or equivalent (NQF Level 5)
Advanced computer Literacy (MS Office Applications)
Code B Drivers’ License
Report writing skills
Supervisory and management skills
Ability to give attention to detail
Coordination and monitoring skills
Good human relations and interpersonal skills
Experience of administrative support and control systems
3 years relevant experience
TASK LEVEL 11 – Basic salary per annum is R 282 422.69 – R 366 590.83 Total Cost to Company
R 426 938.61 – R 534 331.53 per annum. Note: Proof of Qualifications are required for assessment. (Clear copies of certified qualifications must be attached)
The requirements of the Employment Equity Act will be considered for this position, but will not be
the only criteria applied.
A service bonus equal to one month’s salary is payable and normal fringe benefits related to Local
Authorities including a housing allowance for home owners and is subject to certain conditions.

Placement of candidates for work can be done in any area of Drakenstein. This area covers
Simondium, Paarl, Wellington, Gouda, Hermon and Saron.
